The Reykjavik Bowl
------------------
For this collection, each piece is given the name of a city where I've spent time. The frosty pattern in the wood reminds me of my time spent in Iceland.
- Handmade from a fallen maple tree
- Unique spalted wood
- 5 inches tall, 10 inches in diameter
- Food-safe finish
-----------------
Shaped from salvaged maple, this unique bowl shows off the kind of natural beauty that only comes from real wood. The birch grain has gentle marbling and a warm, golden hue that deepens in the light.
What begins as a fallen piece of birch goes through months of drying, curing, and shaping before becoming the finished bowl you see here. Each bowl is turned on the lathe, then sanded smooth and finished with a food-safe coating to protect and highlight the wood’s natural character.
At about 10 inches across and 5 inches tall, it’s the perfect size for everyday use. Great for serving salads, popcorn, or as your full-time fruit bowl.
Each piece is unique, made from locally salvaged wood that’s been given new life through careful craftsmanship. A thoughtful, timeless piece that blends utility and artistry in one smooth curve.
